Things that help ease the mind

Hello guys! welcome back to another blog about my college experience. College is obviously very stressful because you're constantly being hit with deadlines for assignments and you are constantly studying for tests, quizzes and midterms. The brain can only handle so much going on. I don't know about you but for me, I get stressed out really easily and I tend to forget upcoming deadlines and I end up having to do everything last minute. With that being said, I have to take breaks at times when there are a lot of things that I need to do because if I don't, I will get stressed out and I will fall off task and miss more deadlines. What I do to clear my mind is play basketball. Basketball has always been a passion of mine, and when I play basketball, I forget about all the stress that I have and I get relaxed. Shoutout to CSU Stanislaus for their wonderful recreational center which contains a beautiful basketball gym. Every time that I am feeling a little stressed out, I like to go to the recreational center to play basketball by myself. Shooting baskets for a couple of hours a day really relieves my stress. There are other things that the University offers that helps relieves stress like the student lounge where you can relax with your friends and hangout. There is also the game room that contains pool tables, a foosball table, and a ping pong table. You are also allowed to bring your own game console to connect into the tv's that they have in the game room so you can play video games with your friends and online by using the school's internet. The recreational center does not only contain a basketball gym but they also have a gym where you can workout and exercise. The great thing about all of these places is that they are free for the students to use because it is all included in the tuition fee that we pay every semester. I myself enjoy interacting with other students at these places, and they are also great places for students to make friends. By going to these places, it helps reduce student's stress and it gives them stuff to do in their free time if they need to catch a break from doing homework or studying.   1. I also get stressed very easily and always forget about assignments that are due! I started writing everything down so that I don't forget as often which has really helped. I have an exam on Wednesday and I'm going to bomb it so theres that. I like going to the game lounge with friends like you mentioned, because it does help me relax.

  2. I find myself listening to music a lot to take my mind off the stress. Like you said, its good to take breaks and find something you enjoy to take your mind off things!
